- Although Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries have funded ISIS in the recent past-- Trump singled out Iran as a key source of funding and support for militant groups while in Saudi Arabia. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei lashed out on Sunday against U.S. President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia's leaders for their new regional alliance against Tehran.
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt to cut ties with Qatar. The dispute between Qatar and the Gulf's Arab countries escalated after a recent hack of Qatar's state-run news agency.
- “Oi, cowards!” Londoners fought back with whatever came to hand, including hurling chairs and tables, when three men armed with a van and knives went on the attack in a bustling area of the British capital on Saturday night.
- The Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats have suspended national election campaigning after the terrorist attack on London Bridge.
- President Donald Trump on Sunday criticized London’s mayor while touting his extremely controversial travel ban after Sadiq Khan sought to reassure residents about a stepped-up police presence on city streets following the third deadly attack there in the past three months. Trump argued on Twitter for leaders to “stop being politically correct” and focus on “security for our people.”
