• Although Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries have funded ISIS in the recent past-- Trump singled out Iran as a key source of funding and support for militant groups while in Saudi Arabia. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei lashed out on Sunday against U.S. President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia's leaders for their new regional alliance against Tehran.

• The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt to cut ties with Qatar. The dispute between Qatar and the Gulf's Arab countries escalated after a recent hack of Qatar's state-run news agency.

• Islamic State claimed responsibility for Saturday night's attack in London.

• “Oi, cowards!” Londoners fought back with whatever came to hand, including hurling chairs and tables, when three men armed with a van and knives went on the attack in a bustling area of the British capital on Saturday night.

• The Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats have suspended national election campaigning after the terrorist attack on London Bridge.

• President Donald Trump on Sunday criticized London’s mayor while touting his extremely controversial travel ban after Sadiq Khan sought to reassure residents about a stepped-up police presence on city streets following the third deadly attack there in the past three months. Trump argued on Twitter for leaders to “stop being politically correct” and focus on “security for our people.”

• As of the beginning of June 2017, Trump’s approval ratings are the worst of any sitting president in the history of the United States of America--landing at a 55.4%.

• 50 years later, Israel still control their Palestinian counterpart and has held back the Palestinian economy, making decent-paying jobs in the territories scarce. 

• Scores of former Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel and living in the Gaza Strip said on Sunday their stipends from the Western-backed Palestinian Authority have been suspended in an apparent bid to appease Israel and the United States.

• Vice President Mike Pence expressed the urge for Republicans to come together to strip the middle class/low-income families of healthcare just to give the most massive tax break to his donors by saying: "Once we repeal and replace Obamacare, we're going to roll our sleeves up, and working with these great leaders in Congress, we're going to pass one of the largest tax cuts in American history," Pence said.

• Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn of the UK has expressed that Britain needs to have "difficult conversations" with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states about the funding of Islamist extremism. 

• The Syrian Democratic Forces, an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters (U.S.-backed forces) said they seized a major dam on the Euphrates river from Islamic State on Sunday, their latest gain as they push towards Raqqa city.
