• The Myanmar army has exonerated itself of blame for the Rohingya genocide after releasing the results of an internal investigation.

• 2 air strikes targeted Yemen’s main international airport in the rebel-held capital, Sanaa, destroying a navigation station that is critical to receiving already limited aid shipments. The Houthi rebels have accused the Saudi-led coalition of bombing the international airport.

• For the first time in over 40 years, Congress has examined a US president's authority to launch a nuclear attack.

• The United States has awarded a contract to guard the U.S. embassy in Moscow to a company with KGB ties.

• Attorney General Jeff Sessions told Congress he never lied under oath about Russian interference in the 2016 election saying sleep deprivation and the “chaos” of the Trump campaign clouded his recollections of campaign contacts with Russians.
