- Rescue teams in Gaza have been unable to reach five Palestinians trapped in a tunnel destroyed earlier this week by Israeli forces. Israel is not allowing rescue teams to search for the Palestinian individuals.
- Donna Brazile, the former interim chairwoman of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), discovered a deal from August 2015, months before Clinton secured the party's nomination, that said Clinton's campaign would “control the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised.” The DNC secretly chose their nominee over a year before the primary elections even occurred, turning over DNC control to the Clinton campaign.
- In Srinagar (Indian-administered Kashmir), the state-run human rights commission has told the government in Kashmir to investigate at least 2,080 unmarked mass graves discovered in border areas of the restive region.
- Although claiming to have the “world’s best memory”, President Donald Trump said he did not remember much about a meeting last year with a former campaign aide who pleaded guilty this month as part of a federal investigation into alleged Russian meddling in last year’s U.S. election campaign.
- The United States carried out 2 airstrikes targeting Islamic State militants in Somalia, a U.S. official said it is believed to be the first such strikes against the militant group in the country.
- Canada’s highest court has given developers the green light to build a 6,250-bed ski resort on land considered sacred by an indigenous community in British Columbia.
